What the video covers

Four steps, about 15 minutes.

  1. Install the plugin

    Upload the ZIP under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and activate it. WordPress 6.2+, PHP 7.4+, HTTPS.

  2. Choose what Claude may see

    On Permissions, pick the data areas and folders Claude may read. Start view-only.

  3. Connect Claude

    Click Prepare the connection, add Meikero as a custom connector in Claude, switch it on in a chat.

  4. Ask Claude to describe your site

    If the answer matches reality, you are connected. Widen permissions one area at a time.

What you need on the AI side
A Claude account on a plan that supports custom connectors. Claude availability and usage limits are set by Anthropic. ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor are shown as “Coming soon” in the plugin and are not supported yet.
Two different secrets
The connection (Bearer) key connects Claude to your site — Free uses only this. A purchase license key (MK-…) comes with a paid plan and unlocks the website-changing tools. Never share either.
Can Claude change anything on Free?
Only during the one-time 4-hour Premium trial on one public HTTPS website. The trial starts with the first eligible, authorized tool request after setup — installation and connection checks do not count — and runs four consecutive hours. Afterwards Free is reading and saved audits again; what was built stays. Every change also needs a permission the administrator turned on. How the trial works.
Updates
Free-version updates arrive through the WordPress Plugins screen or by uploading a newer ZIP over the current one. See the changelog.
