Meikero support and troubleshooting

Before contacting support

Plugin version

WordPress → Plugins, the “Meikero MCP” row, or the bottom of any Meikero screen.

License status

Meikero → License & plan: Free, trial, active, paused, suspended or revoked, connected websites and the update period. Use Check license to refresh.

Connection diagnostics

Ask Claude to run get_connection_diagnostics, or open Meikero → Settings & diagnostics. It reports HTTPS detection, whether a connection key is configured, how many tools are enabled, PHP syntax validation and the time of the last authenticated request. Export diagnostics there produces a JSON summary without keys, credentials or site content — attach it to your email. Diagnostics do not start the free trial.

Permissions

If Claude says a tool is unavailable or access is denied, check the data area or folder permission under Meikero → Permissions. WooCommerce, SEO and page-builder tools also need those plugins to be active.

What changed

Meikero → History & backups lists work sessions, checkpoints and backups, shows what was edited and lets you restore it.

Common error messages

You see	Likely cause
License required / not active	The site has no active license, or the free trial has ended. Activate your MK- key, or disconnect another website if your plan’s website limit is reached.
Trial already used	This website has already had its one-time 4-hour trial. Activate a paid license to continue.
Site limit reached	All of the license’s website seats are in use. Disconnect a site you no longer need from My account → Meikero licenses, or choose a larger plan.
Access paused	This website was paused in My account → Meikero licenses. Claude’s requests are refused until you resume it there; the connection key and settings stay in place.
Update required (in your account)	The website runs Meikero older than 0.9.18, so pause/resume from the account dashboard is not available for it. Update the plugin on that site.
Update failed: activation_not_found / HTTP 403	An older licensing check used a credential the server no longer knows. Update Meikero to 0.9.19 or newer, then go to Dashboard → Updates → Check again and retry — or upload the newer ZIP under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → Replace current. Nothing needs deleting.
HTTPS required	The site is served over HTTP. Enable HTTPS; remote MCP connections and the trial are refused otherwise.
Unauthorized from the connector	The Bearer key in Claude does not match a key in Meikero, or that key was revoked. Create a new key under Meikero → Connection and update the connector.
Path not permitted / folder not approved	The theme or plugin folder is not approved, or only approved for reading, or creating new files is switched off for it.
Stale hash / file changed	The file or post changed after Claude last read it. Ask Claude to read it again and retry.
PHP syntax error	Meikero refused a write that would not parse. The original file is unchanged.

Ask questions, share workflows and follow new releases in the Meikero Discord community. Community answers are not individual support — for license, order or defect questions, email us. Never post license keys, Bearer keys or MCP URLs there either.

Renewing updates and support

Pro and Studio include 12 months of updates and standard product support. Renewing for another year is optional and never billed automatically: Pro €29/year, Studio €59/year. If you do not renew, the version you bought keeps working with its paid features; you stop receiving new versions and support, and compatibility with future WordPress, PHP or AI-client changes is not guaranteed.

Agency is a yearly plan at €199/year, renewed manually. Updates and priority product support are included while the plan is active. When it ends, paid Meikero functionality stops; content and code already created stay on your sites.

To renew, sign in and choose the license under My account → Meikero licenses, or email hello@meikero.com with your order number and the plan name. An active period is extended from its current end date; a lapsed period restarts from the renewal date.

Existing customers: licenses bought before the current plans keep the terms they were purchased under, including their renewal prices.

What standard product support covers

• Installing and updating Meikero.
• Connecting Claude through the custom connector.
• Activating, checking, pausing, moving and disconnecting licenses.
• Product defects — Meikero tools not behaving as documented on a supported setup.

Pro and Studio include standard support for 12 months and during any renewed period. Agency includes priority product support while the plan is active. Free includes documentation and the Discord community, without individual support. We answer as soon as we can; there is no guaranteed response time.

What it does not cover

• Building customer websites.
• Custom development — building or finishing themes, plugins or features for you.
• Repairing third-party plugins or themes, including ones Claude generated or changed for you. Use your backups, Meikero’s restore tools or a developer.
• Unlimited consulting, hosting and server administration.
• AI provider plans, connector availability and usage limits.
